fireflies & thai food & cute boys

 
tonight was nice & summer-y & was so good to me. i went on a date with a guy from my college chemistry class whom i sat next to strictly because he had nice, leather shoes. luckily for me, he was nice also & he's asked me on a few dates. he's sarcastic & likes to put on a show & he is just a goof, so that's cute.

 he picked me up & we went to his house with another couple & he made authentic Thai food (he's from Thailand.) the food was spicy & well-made & we topped it off with homemade raspberry & orange ice cream (yum!)

 afterwards we snuck on some private property & he held my hand & we sat & watched hundreds of fireflies & he played some songs on the guitar for me.

 it's hard for me to believe that this story is a part of my life now. i guess some things don't just happen in books & movies.
